Indian Curry



INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 package yam cake
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Zucchini
  • 1 califlower
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1-1/2 Tablespoons curry powder
  • Sea salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut all the vegetable and yam cake into pieces.Heat stir fry pan and add yam cake to cook for 5 mins. (This will help to release water from the yam cake).
  2. Add Onion into frying pan with coconut oil.
  3. Cook for 5 mins until onion is soft.
  4. Add tomato, carrot and califlower with 1/2 cup of water. Cover and cook for 10 mins.
  5. Add pepper and zucchini with curry powder, salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook for another 3 mins until zucchini heat through.
  7. Serve curry with rice! Yumm-O!

Soy Sauce Soy Bean

Five spice powder: fennel, anise, ginger, cinnamon and clove.

NGREDIENTS

  • 1 (12 oz.) dry soy bean
  • 6 cups of water
  • 1 teaspoons five spice powder
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown suger
  • Sea salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Put soy bean in a pot cover with water. Sock soy bean in cold water over night (8+ hours)
  2. Cook soy bean with 6 cups of waterat at high heat until boil, turn to middle heat and cook for 20 mins until the bean is cook through. Add more water if needs.
  3. Drain soy bean and keep1 cup of cooking water.
  4. Put soy bean, cooking water in a pot. Add five spice powder, soy sauce, suger salt and pepper and cook for another 10 mins.

Roasted Asparagus




INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 teaspoons tea oil (olive oil)
  • Sea salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place the asparagus in a baking dish and drizzle with the tea (olive) oil, then season with salt and pepper; toss well.
  3. Lay the asparagus out on the prepared pan in an even layer. Roast in the preheated oven until the asparagus is tender, about 25-30 minutes.

Kinpira gobo


Kinpira gobo is braised burdock root. is a coarse biennial herb native to Europe and Asia, and naturalized throughout North America since its introduction by European settlers. The roots contain as much as 45% inulin, as well as alkaloids, essential oil, flavonoids, glycosides,mucilage, polyacetylenes, resin, tannins, and volatile oil.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 lb gobo (burdock root)
  • 1/4 lb carrot
  • 1 tbsp soysauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp mirin
  • 1/2 tbsp sake
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsps vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS

1. Wash the gobo skin and shred gobo into very thin strips. Soak the gobo strips in water for 5 mins and drain well.
2. Peel the carrot and cut it into short and thin strips.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, and fry gobo strips for a couple minutes. Add carrot strips in the pan and stir-fry them.
4. Add all seasonings in the pan and stir-fry well. Turn off the heat. Sprinkle sesame seeds.

Amy's fried noodles


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (8 ounce) package Oriental white noodles
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 bonch chinese broccoli(Any kind of green vagatable)
  • 1 small carrot, peeled and julienned
  • 1 yellow bell peppers, julienned (any color will work)
  • 1 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoons sesame seed
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon suger
  • 1/2 black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Boil noodles for 8 minutes, or until softened. Drain noodles and rising with cold water, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 teaspoon of oil over medium heat. Stir onions in oil for 2 to 3 minutes, or until softened. Add carrots, bell peppers and chinese broccoli into the skillet. Stir and add salt, suger and black pepper and cook for 3 mins or until softened.
  3. Add noodles and soy sauce, and continue cooking, turning frequently, for another 5 minutes until well-coated and heated through.
  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sesame oil.

Easy Broccoli Pickle


INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Broccoli sten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon suger
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon saseme oil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Trim the cut end of the boccoli sten, and cut them into thin slice. Place them in a large bowl with salt. Let stand for 10 mins. Drain and rinse under cool water, and pat dry.
  2. Add vinegar, ginger, chili sauce and saseme oil in to the broccoli sten. Let stand for 2 hours before serve. Good for a week.

Tofu Stir-fry

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 cup diced carrot
  • 1 cup green soy bean
  • 1 (14 ounce) package cubed firm tofu
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Asian chile pepper sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black bean sauce
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown suger

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat, and cook the ginger for 1 minute. Place the tofu in the wok, and cook 5 minutes, until evenly brown.
  2. Mix the soy bean and carrot into the wok. Stir in the chile pepper sauce, black bean sauce, suger and soy sauce. Continue cooking until heated through. Serve over the cooked rice.

Quick Vegetarian Spaghetti

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 Onion
  • 5 Zucchini cut into pieces
  • 1 Tomato cut into pieces
  • 2 Boca burger cut into pieces
  • 1 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black papper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Itlian Seasoning (Optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil, add spaghetti and return water to a boil. Cook until spaghetti is al dente; drain well.(I like Trader Joe's Organic spaghetti)
  2. in a large skillet, saute the onion in oil until tender. Add the boca burgers, beans, tomatoes, zucchini, papper, salt and Itlian Seasoning. Cook on medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir occasionally to keep sauce from sticking. Serve sauce over spaghetti.

Basic Bread Machine Bread- 麵包機食譜

I had been thinking about getting a bread machine for a while. My friend Jessica reccomended Breadman bread machine and she test out a great recipes. I follow her suggestion and the bread turn out great! Thank you, Jessica.



Ingredient List

*Warm water (70-80 degree)- 7oz
*Rose Salt- 1t
*Organic Coconut oil- 2T
*Bread Machine flour- 1&1/2 cup
*Whole Wheat flour- 3/4 cup
*Organic Soy Flour- 2T
*Organic Browen Sugar- 2T
*Yeast- 1&1/4t
*Wheat Gluten- 2T

Place ingredients in bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select Whole Wheat setting and light crust. This will make a 2lb loaf.

椰子油麵包食譜(麵包機食譜)
材料:
溫水 7 oz 
玫瑰鹽 1t
有機椰子油 2T
高筋麵粉 1 1/2cup
有機全麥麵粉 3/4 cup (可用高筋取代)
有機黃豆粉 2T
有機黃砂糖 2T
小麥蛋白 (麵筋) 2T
酵母粉 1 1/4t
有機亞麻仁子粉 2T (可省略)
有機小麥胚芽粉 2T(可省略)

作法:
將材料放入麵包機(先放液體的水和油,再放入其它固體的材料),選擇Light ,2lb ,Large,whole wheat settings。
